"Dil Bechara" from different angle

Oh, finally I saw the film, "Dil Bechara" as I promised to myself. Honestly, the first tragic romantic movie I have ever seen even after knowing the consequence a little.

Basically I don't watch romantic movies. Yes, you're doubting on me, right?

Maybe you want to tell me that to get the attention of the reader, "kuch vi baq do ge? kuch vi???". Then what about Titanic, huh?

Many times I have faced this question. Some people also pinched me by telling that "That's why you are single." (Though I haven't found the connection between being single and not watching romantic movies. If you know, you can tell me.)

Yes, you got my answer. I haven't seen "Titanic" movie. I know you have disappointed a lot. Whatever, let it be. But whenever I talk about this movie, I remember one of my close friend, Anirban. You can call him a mad viewer of this film. He feels so proud whenever he tells that he has seen that movie again. I have seen this craziness in his eyes many times.

From the "Titanic" to the "Dil Bechara", hero died and movie become blockbuster. No, heroine had also died in many super hit movies.

But the main question came in my mind every time that why we love to see the death of those sweet loves? Why the writers kill those sweet characters who love each other a lot?

Just only for public demand? Or maybe they want to mean that this story has no existence in real life. The one who has loved someone has to cry.

You can think about the play of "Romeo and Juliet". Every person in this world who has minimum education know about that play. Most of the person signified this play as the iconic love story of the world where the lead couple died to prove their love.

"Kehte hai pyaar neend ki tarah hota hai. Dheere dheere ata hai aur phir ekdum se aapas mein kho jata hai."

Actually the matter is we don't know what love is in real. We tried to learn it from our nearby resources, but everyone define love in their own way. So we became confused.

Most importantly, love doesn't come alone. He comes with the terms like "Fight", "Jealousy", "Insecurity", "Anxiety" and many more. Couples do break up in the night and got patch up in the next morning.

So is it love? No. It's fear. Fear of losing someone. Fear of loneliness. Fear of breaking the regular habit.

Krishna says, "He who has no attachments can really loves others, for his love is pure and divine."

People forget to love themselves. They run after anyone or anything and when they didn't get it, they cry or feel demotivated. Specially in India, Bollywood has increased the expectation of love higher and higher among most of the people. Romantic movies are like a boy and a girl are meeting under a tree full of flowers. There are no people around them. Green grass and white flowers have filled the ground fully. Some invisible person are playing piano or flute or any other beautiful music instrument. Bollywood or any film industry represent love with heavenly feeling. But in real life the matter is quite different. A person who fell in love already tries to match his regular life with fantasy romantic film. Be honest, it will match rarely.

"Dil bechara" is not an exceptional movie but have an different view. I will not talk about the adaption of another film, remaking and other staff. The thing attracts me is the story. Two cancer patient met in a college and they fall in love with each other. Despite they knew about their illness, they get into the relationship.

Now a days, getting into relationship is another name of making friends jealous about partner. So everyone finds the best looking partner like the hero impress the hottest girl of the college or vice versa. No one cares about the true love. In this point this story is different. Hero (Manny) chose a girl (Kizie) who has no serious impact in her college. Also she is kind of "chasmis" and numb. She doesn't talk too much and just counting her last days of her life. Going relationship with this kind of person is a brave and honest decision. And that what love should be.

The father of Kizie Basu was really jolly. One of his best dialogue when he was preparing her daughter for her first date,

"Engineering college me logoko Engineering ke ilawa sab kuch ata hai"

This line has just touched my heart. It's quite relatable to me. Yes Engineers are all-rounder.

Anyway, the story has not gone smooth. Kizie got ill. Manny took her to the Paris (that was quite filmy I feel) to fulfill her last wish. But the fear came in between them when the layer of love has removed and they realized that Kizie will die soon. How can Manny survive in this world without her?

Though Manny lived most of his life without Kizie Basu before she entered into his life. Then why the question is arising?
That's what I was talking about, the fear of breaking the regular habit. But in this story, at the end they joy the fear and lived their last days of life fully.

Beside the story I also liked the acting of Sushant Shing Rajput very much. It was his last film. The reason of his death is still unknown. I wish he may rest in peace.

This movie became blockbuster on the first day of his release. Some says the reason behind is the emotion of fans for Sushant. It's quite true also. Some claim that if this emotion had been shown earlier, Sushant Shing Rajput may not die.

But according to me, this movie is really wonderful for its story and the hard work of its artists. The performances were really good.

At the end, we can say "Love💓 makes our life OK". So don't think too much about love. It happens. It's Seri.

Seri?  😉
